RELIGIOUS COMMUNITIES
The missionaries who introduced these islands to the
Faith and brought us into the Church were all religious. They gave,
and we received. Today, many of these religious communities continue
to assist the faithful through the many different ministries -- thank
the Lord! -- but as their roles are slightly different. Rather than
the leaders, the planners, the doers, as they were before, now they
work, not from the front, but side-by-side, with the local people, accompanying
them, walking with them, supporting them, challenging them, stretching
them, --building them up in every way.
