SUPPORT THE DIOCESE

Rationale

Our Dioces of the Caroline IslandsThe Church was established in Micronesia just over 100 years ago by missionaries from Europe who brought the Good News. It was sustained by the work of the Society of Jesus, the Mercedarians, the Sisters of Mercy, and more recently the Sisters of Mary Auxiliatrice. Today, the Church is Micronesia has truly become our Church with its own indigenous leadership and a very active lay people. But becoming our own brings with it a sense of responsbility to grow and sustain it. Many of our people about 167,000 of them simply struggle to meet the Church's needs.

We invite any friends and benefactors to help. Our challenge is to continue the mission of building and developing the hearts of the people of these islands through:

  • catechetical training programs
  • leadership development
  • media education
  • marriage encounters
  • vocation promotion
  • youth ministry
  • adult christian education
  • Legion of Mary
  • retreats
  • committee on justice & development
  • bible translations
  • prayer groups
  • mobile teams
  • deacon trainings
  • liturgical committees
